my name is Rute Lopes
I’m based in Lisbon and I’m a makeup artist since 2014
I started my career in beauty in 2009, as an esthetician, but my true passion always resided in makeup.
Since a child I have always had a big interest in arts, I’ve always loved to paint, to draw and to express my creative side, regardless of the medium – which made me study Arts during high school.
In 2014 I have specialized myself at the Make Up For Ever school in Lisbon, and since then I have never stopped investing in my training. That same year I started working at INGLOT, the first of several make-up stores I worked at, thus starting my journey that lasted 5 years, through different make-up stores and brands.
These years that I worked in stores gave me a vast experience with all skin types, shades and ages, in addition to the knowledge it brought me of different products and techniques.
In 2019 I decided to dedicate myself completely to bridal makeup, weddings, ceremonies and social events. There’s something so fullfing in helping someone prepping themselves for some of the biggest days of their lives.
I also do makeup for photoshoots: whether they are professional headshots or a family photshoot, singles and post-wedding.
By working so closely with fellow hairstylists, at a certain point the world of hairstyling started to interest me. Being a service that complements the makeup service so well, in 2023 I finally decided to take Hairstyling training, now dedicating myself to both makeup and hairstyling.
As you can never have too much knowledge, I continue to attend training courses given by renowned professionals quite frequently, as I love being in constant learning.
I believe that we can never know everything and we can be in constant improvement, both professionally and personally.
